Haven't updated in ages so I am now instead of studying! Not that I have much at this time of year. I transferred again at the start of Feb so now I'm doing a double degree of Arts/Science. I'm doing two second year science units (Genetics and Microbiology) and three first year arts units (two english and a philosophy - Astronomy & Philosophy) this semester. So I'm pretty busy but I love it! :D So glad I transferred again. It's also pretty bizarre having first year units when you are in second year...it's good though because I have a better perspective than I would have had last year. (ie. I've actually done some study this year) Can't wait until next week (I only have two science lectures left for the week but I'm dying to do more arts).

Will probably update again sometime in the next 6 months.

EDIT: I also passed all my units last semester! I did quite well in philosophy too.

Just realised I haven't posted a "real" post here for ages! I was just reading through some of my old posts from January and Febuary this year. So I thought it was about time I updated! This year has been the best! Have finished a year of uni (pending results that is) and life in general is making a whole lot more sense (apart from the fact that I still don't know what I want to do after uni)! I transferred mid-year from Animal and Veterinary Biosciences to a Bachelor of Science and I plan to do Microbiology, Genetics and Philosophy next year! Just waiting on my results for genetics this semester...they have a quota for next year.

Went to my brother's wedding at the end of October which was lots of fun and its great having another sister-in-law! I was pretty distracted at their wedding though...I was way too busy smsing my boyfriend the whole night! hehe Also, it was my cousin's wedding last week which was also lots of fun (especially as my brother and his now wife were back from their honeymoon)! My brothers + cousins + all on the one table = one pretty wild time.

So she came to me at recess and said she wanted to talk. So we went outside (we were in the star cafe) and she didn't say much but started crying so i hugged her.

actually, i think that came true last friday night.

So my first week of uni is over. O'week was great - lots of fun and at least a few great people to hang out with. One amusing thing I did find out during o'week was that my brother has been going to the bar at La Trobe for a few years now but has never attended uni there.

This week was pretty fun too though most of the lectures and prac were fairly boring because it was just introductory stuff (x4 because all my units are ~science units so it was pretty repeatative). My least science-y unit (Animal Systems - an agr unit) was really cool...its not every first week of uni that you get to start raising chickens! Though we fail if a chicken dies because we neglected them (if they get sick for another reason it doesn't matter - how pleasant).
Chem hasn't been too bad either even though it is the "hard" chem, all we've done this week is review Yr.11 & 12 stuff - easy! It has been a pretty easy start to uni though I expect it'll get harder next week (should be fine as long as I don't procrastinate too much). 

The only hard thing I've hard to do (or still have to do because I haven't started it) is write an essay for Animal Systems on "Why I chose La Trobe"? How on earth do you write an essay on that??

My Statement of Account finally arrived yesterday which was great. I guess they must have managed to find my enrolment form after all.

In other news, I still haven't cleaned up my room...hopefully I'll start tonight, though if not I'd better start tomorrow as I don't have a lot of time on the weekend. My cousin's getting married on Sunday which will be great...haven't been to a wedding for 5 years. But I could end up going to between 3-5 this year. :D

The internet has failed me. I'm offically bored and I can't find anything entertaining on the internet. I do have lots of stuff to do in real life though but as usual I'd prefer to procrastinate. I still haven't cleaned my room (was supposed to do that this week) but I guess I'll have to do it next week...or even during O'week.

Working a lot this week, tomorrow I'll have to get up early (at least I hope so), so I can get some work done at the vets before I need to be at work at Safeway at 9:30am. I probably won't get a chance to clean my room at all tomorrow because of work. And I'm working 8 hours a day, Mon-Fri this week at the vet, but I'm desperate for the money so thats pretty good.

My cousin is getting married next Sunday which will be great. Hopefully my Mum and I will be able to con my Dad into driving so we can drink as much as we like. Weddings are so much fun and they're a very cute couple. Better leave it at that, have to get up at 7am tomorrow...so I should go to bed early for once!

It isn't surprising that sometimes forms and other such admin-related objects go missing, but every now and then it has to be to do with me.

So I waited the required 2-10 days for my statement of account from La Trobe to arrive which would confirm my enrolment, unit fees and La Trobe email. It got to yesterday (Friday 8th Feb) and it still hadn't arrived, so I thought it wise to give them a ring to see what was going on. The man asked for my student number (which I gave) and I was told to wait on hold for a moment. After about 10 minutes (and about 5 boring songs), he came back to the phone and said he had managed to find my HECs form but he couldn't find my enrolment form. So, apparently they know what course I'm enroled in but I'm just not enroled in any units yet. The TFN on my HECs form was also wrong (only 1 digit off). He also said he didn't want to leave me on hold to long; I assume that means he'll (or someone) will have a longer look for my enrolment form. If they find it, I'll get a letter (aka statement) by next Friday; if not, then I'll have to ring them again. And then I'll set my Mum on them Mahahahahahaha.

As you can imagine it is pretty annoying and I won't know my timetable, email etc until they sort all this out.

I decided spontaneously to go to Officeworks today. It was so wonderful walking peacefully around the shop while everyone else there (which was quite a few people) were rushing around in a last minute rush for school supplies. I did end up spending $90 there...it could have been more but I had to get home for dinner.

Had enrolment day over a week ago now...and I'm slowly acquiring some of my textbooks; already have "Biology"* and I'm getting "Zoology"* and "Genetics"* on Thursday. It's pretty hard finding second hand books (they go so quick!), so if you want second hand texts start looking for them now!
